012 A circular artificial Hill on the lands of Chapeltoun near the house. About 5 years ago Mr. McAlister raised it to its present height, by taking the earth etc. which in the course of time had slid or been trampled from its sides, and putting it on the top. while doing this a quantity of human bonees were found near the brae on the South and East sides, and also some stones which - from their appearance - Mr. McAlister thought had been exposed to the action of fire. Mr. Miller (to whom the property formerly belonged) told me that when the present road past the Chapel Hill was being formed, a quantity of bones were found and that it was supposed that a burying ground had been here.
