017 | This Commanding eminence is east of Carmyle about 12 chains and is planted with Fir and Forest trees. There is the appearance of a Mound or Tumuli the eastern Side of which is partly traceable but it does not in any way resemble that of Greenhill. The tradition of the country relative to these objects is as follows that they were places where Justice was administered in the early ages from enquiries made there does not appear to have been any coffins or human remains found here.
