165 | Applies to the pedestal of an ancient stone Cross situated in the N.E. [North East] side of the Grave-yard at Oronsay, It is about 4 feet in height, and is sculptured on one side. It is said to have fallen about 40 years ago, when the arms were broken off, and was re-erected on the same spot about 10 years ago, by the late Lord Colonsay. It is believed to have been originally erected at the time that the priory was established in the 14th Century. |
