Continued entries/extra info
Ardnamurchan Continuedthe Parish Church. It contains about 115030 statute acres. The portion in Inverness is on the north of the parish being divided from Argyllshire by the River shiel and Loch Shiel. There are no detached portions of the Parish of Ardnamurchan in these or any other Counties neither are there detached potions of any other parish within its limits.
"The Parish of Ardnamurchan consists principally of moors & mountains & hills, in general more rugged and precipitous than of great elevation, the highest not exceeding 3000 feet. There is a considerable extent of oak coppice on the shore of Loch Sunart. There are large tracts of moss & vast tracts of moorland wastes: yet the scenery as a whole - or at least the most accessable portions of it along the glens cannot be called bare and the pasturage as compared with that of Mull is rich & thrifty."
