121 A small island at High Water about ¼ of a mile East from the manse. Tradition says that when the burial ground near Ballahuan Loch was used this island was the place where they landed from the land and adjacent islands with the bodies of those about to be interred, and as is customary in the Highlands whisky was liberally served to those in attendance which frequently lead to disputes, and on landing [here?] the purpose for which they were assembled did not deter them from coming to blows.
