198 This stone, which is situated about 1/4 a mile S. [South] of the S. [South] end of Loch Finlaggan, is a very large one, being about 6 feet in height by nearly 3 feet in thickness. The inhabitants of the locality are of opinion that it is a very ancient standing stone; but are unable to give any information Concerning it.

198 This house, which was recently built, agreeably to the requirements of the Education Act, is an institution where Children, above 5 years of age, of both sexes, are educated. It has accommodation for 90 children. The average attendance does not exceed 50. It is the property of the rate payers & is under the supervision of the School Board for the parish.
