Sir,
I received your letter a few
days ago, respecting a small Island
in Crinan Harbour, called Eilean
da mhéinn (not da bhan as you
term it) signifying Island of
2 Ores, or mines. - Whether Lead-ore
or Pewter-mine, I cannot say.
I remember both you and
W. Hannay.
