"On the property of D. Campbell of Baileveolan in Lismore stands Castle Coeffin, a very ancient building. It is built upon a point jutting out into Linne Shrlich or Linne Loch an arm of the Sea that separates Kingerloch from Lismore" New Statistical Account.
