211 In a hollow a short distance South east of the summit of Ardminish hill are to be seen the remains of a chapel situate within the precincts of what is said to have been the burial ground. The walls of the Chapel and burial ground are now nearly levelled. No tradition remains except that is was used as a place of burial by the inhabitants of Gigha and Islay. There are no outward appearances of any graves except a small cairn now also nearly levelled near the north east end of the Chapel.
"Monuments of primitive Christianity are numerous in Argyllshire but nowhere more frequent than in South Knapdale. Of these pious relicts there are four ancient Chapels which have suffered but little from the rust of time".
