062 | By Mr James Reid Farmer Nether Balfour near the Surface of the ground, at about 7 chains W [West] of Nether Balfour Farm House; It is a well shaped brass statue about 5. inches in length, the attitude being a Stooping or Sitting position it is all Complete except the right hand from the elbow which is deficient The portion deficient is supposed by Antiquarians to have held the palm of Victory, behind the shoulders are two gracefully long wings representing a celestial being. |
