062 | Situated at the north Bank of the River Don and a little above the junction of the River Don and Dughals Burn, also a little south of Kirkton Farmhouse; This was the Parish Church of Forbes and has not been in use since the year 1808 The walls are still entire but unroofed. The old oak door strongly studden with iron &c is still in its place. The grave yard formerly extended Southwards to the Tree shown on the ordnance plan but of late years it has been diminished and walled in the shape of an octagon and is still used as a place of interment. |
