030 | This name applies to a deep hollow in the hill face, which extends from a little north of the North Crofts of Cortiecram, to a little north of the farm of Greencroft. Tradition says, that the cows' which used to feed here always gave three times as much butter as the rest of them, and in consequence the place was called the Kirns or the Cream Kirns. |
