Mr. Milne
082 Very little remains to indicate its former strength, ruins of a wall are still to be seen; more recently it became the burial ground of the Duguids of Auchinhove.
The appearance of this Feature at present is a small artificial hillock rising out of the surrounding plain, with no appearance of a surrounding Moat; that it might have at one time been a small Fort or Keep is probable but is not certainly known; but that it was the private burial ground of the Duguid's is certain, and they were owners of the Auchinhove Estate between 1634 - 1755 in which latter year it was confiscated in consequence of their joining the Rebellion of 1745.
