LEY WATER | Ley Water Ley Water Ley Water |
Revd [Reverend] Mr Ronald, Cabrach Mr Simpson, Farmer, Elrick. Mr Fettes. Farmer, Howbog. |
042 | The Ley Water is a stream which forms the boundary between the Parishes of Auchindoir and Rhynie, and afterwards passes into Rhynie, and takes the name of the "Kirkney." It is formed by the junction of two small streams; one on the North and the other on the South East side of Elrick, dividing Cabrach from Rhynie and Auchindoir respectively. The latter being the principal source of the Ley Water, may take that name to its top, and Mr Ronald believes such to be the case. |
