041 This is a detached piece of moss Bank, a short distance north of the Stapler Road, on the ridge of the hill. It is said that during the famine in the end of the 17th Century "the seven ill years," A woman was found dead there, who had perished of want, with a child alive sucking her breast, and that it had since retained this name. I understand it is called "Yard Hillock" on the Estate Plan.
