Survey of the SHOP TAX in the Royalty of Dunbar
from the 5 April 1787, to the 5 April 1788 By Willia Johnstone Surveyor

I William Johnstone Surveyor aforesaid do herby Certify that upon carefull examination of the above rates
and duties I find they amount the sum of Two pounds seven shillings Sterling And that upon the sixth day
of November (1787) I delivered to John Tait Collector of the said duties for the Royalty of Dunbar an exact
duplicate of the accompt duely examined and Compared which contained my Oath that Notices of the above
date were delivered to the foregoing Inhabitants Or left at their Houses intimating that they were to be charged
with the sum sett against their names & hereby Certified to be due from them.
