I William Currie Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon careful
examination of the foregoing several rates and duties I find the the amount
in the whole to three pounds Ninteen shillings and four pence Sterl. [Sterling] and that
upon the 21 st day of Nov 1787 I delivered to Mr Francis Maxwell Collector
for the said duties for the Burgh aforesaid an exact duplicate of the
foregoing which contained my Oath that notices were left with the several inhabitants
or at their dwelling house of the date anexed to their respective names
was to be charged with the sums hereby Certified To be due from them
