impossible to avoid it there is such an immense
amount of unrecorded material.
5th July. Obtained the assistance of a youth and
returned to Druim Ballefeur to survey the
stone circle &c. It is situated towards the
W. [West] side of the moor near the edge of the slope down
towards the Gruidie and about 3/4 m. [mile] S. [South] of Rae:
:more. It has been formed of 10 stones of which
9 remain in situ or fallen, one has been removed
but large pieces of it have been left where it stood
probably knocked off in dressing it.
