A good plain rectangular building (built in the year 1843) the interior of which is well seated & finished affording accommodation for about 500 persons. It was partly erected by the congregation & partly by the Free Church building fund at the North end of it is a school ho. [house] attached the average attendance of scholars is about 70 or 80. The Teachers Salary is £20 from the Free Ch. [Church] Education fund together with the Scholars fees. The Minister of the Church is the Reverend John Lamb his Stipend is £150 paid by the Free Ch. [Church] Sustentation fund and partly by the Congregation. |
