Mr Hannay & Mr Hathorn of Whithorn pointed out the Site; the latter says he has ploughed up Stones & Lime mixed with the soil at this place, which Shows it to be the Site of Some building. The above named persons also says that it is a tradition in the neighbourhood that this place was the residence of the Bishops of Whithorn. |
