034 A neat and well built Church in good repair Situated in about the Middle of the Burgh of Whithorn it was Erected by the Congregation of the Reformed Presbyterians in Whithorn A.D 1820 (hence its name) it can accommodate 350 with Seats and about 120 Communicants meet for Divine worship together with about 60 occasional hearers: The Minister is Supported by voluntary Contributions from the Congregation also he has a house to live in which has been erected convenient to the Church by the Said, likewise adjacent to the Church is a Monument . Erected by the Same in the year 1833 to the Memory of the Revd [Reverend] Mr Rowatt and his Successor Revd. [Reverend] Mr McMurtrie as a Testimonial of their Esteem and regard for their exemplary Piety and Zeal in Promoting the Gospel amongst their fellow Men
