010 A large hill running in the direction North & South the Soil Consists of Rocky and Heathy pasture interspersed with thin Furze it is very Steep on the western Side falling down towards the village of Cairn Ryan & the Demesne of Sir Alexander Wallace by which this Side is bounded, on the West Side of this hill there is a Slate quarry open but is not constantly worked, the Slate is of a Soft blue colour and not of good description Proprietor Sir Alexander Wallace
