CASTLE STEWART BRIDGE Castle Stewart Bridge John Nevin (woodman) Penninghame 008 A Small one arch Bridge built of Stone across the Castle stewart Burn & on the main Road from Newton Stewart to Maybole erected in the year 1826 & as far as I can learn by the late Mr. Blair of Penninghame & the County.- It is not a County Bridge but in Consequence of its being in the Demesne of Penninghame It is suited by the Laird to his own taste .-
