The River appears to be called 'Main Water of Luce'
in contradistinction to 'Cross Water of Luce' and from
their Confluence, which is at the Village of New Luce
the River takes the name of 'Water of Luce' or 'Luce Water'
and by some people it is still called 'Main Water of Luce'.
