A hill on which was formerly a Tower built by the occupying Tenant as a little observatory or pile. This pile was sometimes by the Country people called Ardwell Cairn from the name of the farm. The pile was built of Stone and Lime but was thrown down by the Trigl [Trigonometrical] Party in sinking a centre Stone for Trigl [Trigonometrical] Station.-
