A small, plain but neat brick building at the West end of the Village of Whitburn, it was erected and is supported soley by Sir William and Lady Bailie of Polkemmet and Opened in 1851 - It is not confined to any particular creed, the bible only is read in it and there from 18 to 20 teachers in attendance every Sunday evening they embraced those of the Establishment, Free Church, United Presbyterians etc. no one is excluded, nor are there Religious Opinions interfered with - The interior is quite plain and contains only moveable forms & stools - Mr R. Leggat Whitedalehead School is Superintendant
