010 | A large flat sandstone in the form of a giant stone and standing erect. It bears the following inscription. M. S. Gut, Wallas Oct. [October] 15 1786. It was erected in the middle of Drumshoreland Muir by the late Earl of Buchan, in memory of Sir William Wallace the Scottish Chief. It was removed from there to where it now stands by the present Earl. |
