008 | [Situation] About ⅞ miles E S E [East South East] of Drumduff A small and very Old farmstead standing on slightly elevated ground on the S. [South] side of a large tract of moss (no name) and ½ a mile directly North of the Ruins of Eastercraigs. The dwelling house is the E. [East] end of the S. [South] building and is now more modern than the remainder which are in very bad repair, low and thatched - the dwelling is one storey high and slated & in good repair, there is a vegetable garden on the E. [East] which is well sheltered by trees. It is the property of D. C. Buchannan Esq. |

008 | [Situation] About ½ mile E S E [East South East] of Drumduff A long low ridge rising abruptly from the moss that nearly surrounds it, the S [South] end is the highest part & gradually slopes down N [North] ward, on the E. [East] side there is a ledge of broken rocks for a short distance forming part of a fence, there are a few boulders on the S. [South] & the whole surface is covered with heather. The origin of the name is not known. |
