A narrow & very irregularly built street - the houses are old and staning [standing] in every position - they are two and three storeys high & form about the oldest part of the two [town] - it contains a few shops and extends from Kaim Head E. [East] to the N.W. [North West] end of Jarvey Street.

A short, wide irregularly built street built on a steep, rising from the E. [East] end of Kaim Head to the Jail. In this street the market was formerly held before the modern portion of the town was erected - the houses are one & two storeys high, one of which is a P.H. [Public House] and they are chiefly occupied by weavers.
