096 This name is applied to a small ridge of hill and croft houses adjoining this hill are thickly studded with tumuli, and adjacent to its northern extremity the remains of two hut circles are to be seen having a relief of about two feet above the general surface. a short distance South of this ridge and in the district of Crofters houses Known as Druimaragid a Bronze Palstave was found A. D. 1850, this implement somewhat resembles the ancient Battle Axe, and is to be seen in the Museum at Dunrobin Castle. It signifies the Silver Ridge. His Grace the Duke of Sutherland proprietor.
