There are also remains of a Wall and trench which Cut of the rock from the land - at the north End of this rock I Examined the ground which is slightly broken and found - some distance below the Surface - burnt Bones, shells & charred wood - This Rock has no doubt been used at one time as a place of Defence - by whom and when I am unable to find out. |
