028 This name is applied to a large Stream, a branch of the Strathy River. The name Uar is generally applied to Streams, the channel of which have been made or enlarged by a Waterspout. This Stream is formed by a number of Small Streams, one of which issues from Loch nam Breac, and was made or rather partly made, to take all the water of that lake to the Strathy River while the new channel of the Halladale River near Melvich was being made.
