103; 104; 105; 106; 108; 109; 110; 112; 113 Applies to an Extensive, and highly cultivated Parish Situated on the Coast of the "Dornoch Firth" it is Surrounded on three of its Sides by Parishes as follows, on the N. [North] and N.E [North East] by the Parish of Golspie on the north by the Parishes of "Rogart" and "Lairg" on the West and S.W. [South West] by the Parish of Creich. The Coast of the Dornoch Firth being its Eastern and partly its Southern Bdy. [Boundary] The Parish Church is Situated in the Burgh of Dornoch in the S.E [South East] corner of the Parish and will be found described, along with the various antiquities in the Burgh on Name Sheets devoted to that purpose, Woods. - The Woods and Plantations in this Parish are numerous and Extensive amongst the most Extensive may be mentioned "Clashmore Wood" and "Harriet Plantation" name sheets for these and the less Extensive plantations have been Supplied. Rivers. - There is only the one river proper in this Parish the "River Evelix" and which flows through the S. [Southern] Centre of the Parish, and also forms the Boundary of this Parish and that of Creich for nearly four miles. Antiquities - Are very few in number Excluding those of the Burgh, "Proncy Castle" (Remains of) Skelbo Castle (Remains of) a few "Standing Stones" "Hut Circles" and "Tumuli" make up the whole, and will be found noticed in their respective places in Name Books. Hills - There are few hills in this Parish the most prominent ones being "Creag Amaile" "Cnoc Odhar" and "Beinn An Tairbh" Signifying, Rock of Evil, Dun Hill and the Bulls Mountains respectively. His Grace the Duke of Sutherland and Evan C. S. Walker Esqre of Skibo are the principal proprietors in the Parish.
