Mr. William Ross		 073; 084 A Stream having its source in a small loch situated at the northern extremity of Srath an Lòin and after running in an Easterly direction for a distance of about four miles it enters Loch Shin a short distance North of the confluence of Allt Chairr Bhig with that Loch. It signifies the Big Burn of the mossy plain. His Grace the Duke of Sutherland, proprietor.
