Nothing appears to be Known about the date of erection "supposed to be 300 years old" neither when it fell into decay. This castle was surrounded by a Fosse or moat part of which is still visible on the north, South. & East. the bottom of the Ditch is about fifteen feet below the foundation of the ruin His Grace the DuKe of Sutherland, proprietor |
