A short distance to the North East of the confluence of this stream old Copper Coins were found A.D 1871 the inscription upon them being defaced. Also a short distance to the West a Stone Coffin together with a Stone richly ornamented with interlaced Sculpture was found when constructing the Duke of Sutherlands Railway A.D. 1869. Nothing appears to be Known about who has possession of these coins but the Sculptured Stone is in the Museum at Dunrobin. His Grace the Duke of Sutherland proprietor It signifies the Burn of the Corners |
