022.06 | A small one arch stone bridge, on the statute labour road, between Denny & Fintry. It is in good repair. Property of the Road Trustees.* This name is supposed to be derived from the word Rendezvous (the place where John de Graham used assemble his men), but Randyford is the more modern way of spelling and pronouncing the word. * It is a Turnpike road from Denny to a small public house half a mile west of Carron Bridge: from which it is a Trust or Parish road until it joins the Turnpike road from Fintry to Campsie. |
