030.03 A small stream which collects about Parkfoot, and, running nearly due west, joins the West Burn at the farm of Burnhead. Originally it took its rise, and received its name from a pond situated in Callander Park called "The Gote", and, in some of the ancient title-deeds, the proprietors were granted the liberty to fish therein. The pond is now drained, and the supply being thus cut off from the stream, it assumes the character of a drain.
