The institution is under the management of a Committee of gentlemen appointed for that purpose. there are a Male Teacher and a Matron Attached to it, Who are each Allowed a fixed Salary and Apartments in a part of the building. the Boys are instructed in reading Writing Arithmetic &c And Also in Shoemaking, the teacher Acting in the double capacity of Schoolmaster and Shoemaker. The Girls are, in Addition to reading Writing &c instructed in Knitting Sewing and household Work, the institution is Supported by Voluntary Subscriptions and Contributions. Average Attendance 40. |
