024.13 A single line of Railway extending from Larbert Junction to the Village of Denny, a distance of about 3½ miles, the cuttings and embankments, along it, are numerous and important, was opened in 1858 for passenger traffic, and is the property of the Scottish Central Railway Company. It has an Electric Telegraph communication along it.

024.13 A tolerable sized stream which rises in the parish of Cumbernauld, and after a course of about 8 miles falls into the River Carron about a mile above the village of Larbert, it forms the boundary between the parishes of Falkirk, Dunipace & Denny for a considerable length, banks low, current moderate.
