018.16 A square pillar surrounded by a flight of steps on an octagonal pedestal. It is surmounted by an antique figure, and bearing the coat of arms of the Elphinstone family who were at one time extensive proprietors in the parish. The date 1692 is on it, but it is evidently of an earlier period.
