046.06 The Remains of a Tumulus: It has been partly opened and the Stones and rubbish carried away. It is Situated a short distance S.W. [South West] of "North-house", and about 1/8 mile N.E. [North East] of "Stackwall": Upon the property of Master Scott of Melby. A great quantity of large and excellent building stones had been removed from the interior of this object, for building purposes, at various periods prior to 1840 & can now be seen in the walls of nearly all the dwellinghouses in Setter, While the stones were being removed a number of Stone implements were found, consisting chiefly of oblong blocks, not unlike, in shape and size, what are now commonly called sythe-stones.
