046.06 An oblong cairn of Stones known to be the Remains of a Picts' or Stronghold: It is similar in appearance to all other objects Said to be pictish remains: and Situated upon an eminence in the N [North] Side of the district of "Setter" and a Short distance N.E. [North East] of "Brough": upon the property of Master Robert Scott of of Melby.
This object is also known as the "Brough of Setter" - presumably from its situation - but so far as I have been able to ascertain the name adopted is prererred, It is also said that "Stoura Brough" is the original name,
