050.03 An ancient standing stone, situated in the hamlet of Sotersta, nearly 3 chains S. E. [South East] from the southern extremity of Loch of Sotersta, on the property of Mrs Henry of Burrastoe. It is about 4½ feet in height, but is said to have been much higher, a portion some feet in length having been broken off the top,some time ago, and carried away for building purposes.
