057.03 An Island in the Parish of Bressay about 5 or 6 miles in circumference lying east of Bressay and separated from it by a narrow and dangerous Sound called Noss Sound. Noss is distinguished principally by its eastern headland called the Noop or by Mariner's Hangcliff and the Holm of Noss. There is also on the Island the remains of an ancient Chapel and Burial Ground. It is the property of Miss Ann Mouat Gardie House Bressay.
