010.08 | One of a series of long ridges of Hills stretching from near the Yarrow Water, and running in a northwest direction, until the peculiarity of the ridge becomes gradually united with the higher hills in the north, when they give place to other names. this Hill is situated about a mile westward from Yarrow Church and the Southermost point about 1/4 of a mile north from the Yarrow. It is mountainous pasture land belonging to the Farm of Whitehope and is the property of His Grace the Duke of Buccleuch. |
