007.08 The remains of an old "Camp" on the farm of "Caddonlee" and a short distance west of the house, it appears to have been horseshoe shape, the northwest side being defended by a natural slope in the ground, the west side by a double "fosse" and treble ramparts, and the east by a Single "fosse" and double rampart the South Side is completely obliterated by the action of the plough &c. notwithstanding this being Called a "Roman Camp" I thinK that it is a British one - from its formation &c.
