012.05 A well known elevated ridge on the south side of the Town of Selkirk, commanding an extensive view of the surrounding country. it is supposed to have received this name, from it having been a practice, to post a Centinel here to give alarm to the Town's people, on the approach of an enemy during the time of Border feud's and warfare.
