015.01 A neat stone building, two Stories high, of Modern Construction, and built on the Site of the house formerly known as "Newhouse". In the year 1848, the farms of Newhouse and Kirkhope were united, at which period the Name Newhouse was changed to Kirkhope, designating the original as Old Kirkhope. There are good out-buildings, a garden, and an Arable and Pasture farm attached. Proprietor His Grace the Duke of Buccleuch.
