[North] and flows for about a mile through Lilliesleaf Parish to where it becomes the N.E [North East] boundary of that parish near Linthill - thence for about 2 miles between Bowden & Lilliesleaf when it enters Ancrum parish & taking a southerly course passes Ancrum on the North, and taking a peculiar bend runs in a circuitous direction to where it discharges itself into the River Teviot about half a mile below Andrum Village
